Frankfor Excel

Terms

Last updated 18 September 2026.

These terms cover your use of Frank for Excel. Buying a licence, or using the free trial, means you accept them.

Frank for Excel is supplied by Averyl Seah, Singapore (“I”, “me”). You can reach me at support@frankforexcel.com.

1. What you are buying

A licence to use the software for a fixed period, normally twelve months. You are not buying the software itself, and ownership of it stays with me.

Orders are arranged by email and paid manually through PayNow in Singapore dollars. I confirm the price, licence period and expected delivery time before you pay. After confirming receipt of payment, I email your licence file and payment acknowledgement. There is no automatic card checkout.

2. The trial

Frank runs in full for fourteen days from first use, with no payment and no card. When the trial ends the tools stop running. Your keys, colours and settings stay on your machine, and installing a licence brings everything back exactly as it was.

3. Your licence

Individual licence

Firm licence

Student licence

4. What you may not do

5. Updates

Updates released during your licence period are included at no extra cost. Frank does not check for updates or contact any server, so I will email you when a new version is out.

6. Term, renewal and expiry

Your licence runs for the period shown in your licence file. There is no automatic renewal and no recurring charge: when it expires the tools stop running and your settings stay put. You can renew at any time and I will issue a new file.

7. What Frank does to your workbooks

The Explorer, audits and comparison inspect your workbooks without changing cell values or formulas. Navigation can reveal an ordinary hidden sheet; Explorer can also unhide the target’s rows or columns on an unprotected sheet. These visibility changes may trigger a save prompt. Supported formatting commands save Frank Undo first, with a limit of 20,000 cells per command and 20 steps in memory. Formula map adds highlighting rules you can remove with Clear formula map. Exporting an audit adds a worksheet you can delete like any other.

Keep your own backups and version control. Do not rely on Frank, or on any add-in, as your only safeguard against losing work.

8. No warranty

Frank is supplied as it is. I have tested it carefully and I use it myself, but I cannot promise it is free of defects, that it will suit your particular model, or that it will run uninterrupted on every configuration of Windows and Excel.

Frank reports what it finds in a workbook. It does not certify that a model is correct, and a clean health check is not a substitute for reviewing your own work. Decisions you take on the basis of a model remain yours.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, my total liability to you in connection with Frank is limited to the amount you paid for your current licence period. I am not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, lost data, or loss arising from decisions taken using a model.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Ending a licence

I may end a licence if these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached — for example if a licence file is shared or published. Where that happens I will refund the unused portion of the period unless the breach was deliberate.

You can stop using Frank whenever you like. See the refund policy.

11. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms for future purchases. The version that applies to you is the one published when you bought or last renewed your licence.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the Singapore courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
